The multifunctional platform in Caorso (PIACENZA) is built to receive, store, and safely manage special liquid and solid waste, optimising flows to the main recovery, reuse, and/or final disposal facilities in Italy and outside Europe. In the facility, we process and initiate the recovery and disposal of urban and special waste, both hazardous and non-hazardous.
The platform covers an area of 44,000 square metres (of which 24,000 square metres are A.I.A. authorised) with an annual storage capacity of 160,000 tonnes.
Under the A.I.A. authorisation, the facility is capable of offering preliminary storage and reserve management, as well as processing hazardous and non-hazardous waste:
- Selection, sorting, shredding and volumetric reduction
- Mixing and grouping of liquid and solid waste
- Transfer and repackaging of chemicals, obsolete materials, laboratory reagents
The waste management system encompasses the entire supply chain, from collection and transport to processing, recovery, and final disposal.
- SOLID BULK WASTE: employing leak-proof tanks and swap-body lorries equipped with a loader crane
- LIQUID BULK WASTE: employing compartmented tanks, in compliance with ADR regulations
- PACKAGED WASTE: employing articulated lorries with tarpaulin trailers and tractors with cranes
TRS has a vast and diverse fleet of vehicles authorised for the transport of hazardous and non-hazardous waste classified under ADR, which complements the industrial waste management service.
